I had planned on buying a nice Beco to carry baby around in and so that my DH could use then I saw the Infantino at TJ Maxx and it is like 20 bucks. The Beco is like 140... I feel like there has to be a difference--please share! What is the downside of the Infantino??

Re: Infantino (cheap) vs. Beco (expensive) pls explain
I think the PP need clarification: are you talking about the Infantino Wrap & Tie, or the Snugli/Baby Bjorn-style Infantino carrier?
The Bjorn-style carriers where the baby's legs hang straight down are not good for the baby's spine and hips, plus they won't be as comfy for you. Infantino does make a Wrap & Tie that is a mei tai-style carrier, and it does actually do a good job of supporting the baby's spine and hips. It's a perfectly fine carrier (I had one), but it isn't too comfy once your baby hits 20 lbs or so. The Beco is an SSC (soft structured carrier), and it is going to be much more comfortable as your baby gets bigger. A lot of carriers claim to be able to carry toddlers up to 35 or 40 lbs, but they aren't actually comfortable at that point. You can actually carry a toddler comfortably in the Beco. Hence the high price tag!
HTH!
This! I have this Wrap & Tie and a $120 woven wrap. The Wrap & Tie I got for $15 and got used much, much more then the woven. I know that wasn't what you were trying to compare, but I just wanted to point out that it was a good and cheap option for us. I would LOVE a Beco but after paying so much for a woven that doesn't get used I can't justify it now that my DD is over 1 year.
