so as I am sure with most people around 7 months diaper changing became an olympic sport....I try to go as fast as possible but DS rolls all over the place, puts his legs in all the wrong places etc...
I try to give him a little toy to distract him, he doesnt cry or anything it is just getting very difficult for me to get the job done....what worked for you? when does this phase end and eas(ier) diaper changes begin again?
thanks
Re: diaper changing help
Unfortunately I don't have any advise to lend...I just wanted to say I feel your pain, lol!
I will be interested to see what some of the suggestions others might have.
Ha!
I don't have any real solutions. I just thank God everyday that we took the old hand-me-down changing table that we almost passed over. It has glorious 6 inch rails that make keeping C contained a bit easier.
It's actually getting to the point where I'm worried I'll inadvertently bruise him just trying to wrangle him on to his back.
TTC #1 Cycle 14 - IUI#1=BFN, IUI#2=BFP | TTC #2 Cycle 8=BFP!!

who said it ends??
this phase for us has been going on for 6+ months. I think DD would prefer to never have her diaper changed.
Honestly, I ultimately ended up moving the changing pad to the floor, holding him down with whatever body part was available, and doing it as fast as I could.
I'd say that the phase comes and goes. Sometimes he just decided that it wasn't worth the effort. Most of the times these days, he stays still b/c he wants to have his diaper changed, and likes to be able to pull the wipes out and pick out his diaper himself.
TV. My son loves music videos so that is the only thing that even remotely works. Stickers, the phone, remote, etc. worked for awhile, but once that ended I was willing to try anything.
He loves TV (no I really don't let him watch all that much, which is probably why this works). So, I change him on our bed, in front of the tv. If he hops down or crawls away, the video is paused until he settles down. Of course, sometimes he's just not ready to stop playing to let me change him, but if I give him some time to get ready, then this works like a charm.
