I'm currently trying out CD from Jillian's drawer. I have decided I'm CD for sure specially after LO getting chemical burn from dry max. Tell me' which CD are your Favorite and why??? TIA
I'm so sorry your son got burned by the Pampers. I hope you love CDs! My favorite CDs these days are our sized FuzziBunz. I like our Bububebe fitteds, too.
I am using a diaper service. My diaper service uses prefolds w/ covers. I like it because they deliver them and pick them up and no washing involved!! lol.
So far BumGenius are our favorite. We have some Happy Heiney's that I like a lot too though. I really wanna try or see other OS diapers to compare. For overnight we like our BG's + hemp or Bububebes or Goodmamas with a Sustainablebabyish wool cover.
BGs always fit DD well. I have all Bgs right now and am waiting for 11 new diapers from Kawaii diapers (they are super cheap BG imitations). I hope they work as well as the reviews!
For the short period of time we used fitteds/prefolds, I was really impressed with the quality of baby bunz velcro contoured prefolds.

Oooo let me know about how you like the Kawaii's, please!!
We just use prefolds with covers and so far they have worked great. We started off from the day he was born with Proraps and orange edged GMD (green mountain diaper) prefolds. The Proraps worked great (and are really cheap) because they have leg gussets, never had one blowout.
Once he got bigger the velcro on the Proraps started to rub on his tummy so we tried out Bummis Super Whisper Wrap and Thirsties. With a regular size prefold under them (mainly because we got 2 dozen of them at our shower and we are too cheap to buy different size GMD's each time, so he just has a bulky bum for now ?(he is long and skinny, about 13lbs right now)
For all of the great publicity (and high price) I really did not care for the Bummis. No matter how tight and careful I try to tighten them we constantly have leaks (no leg gussets) and they really have to be aired out to dry every diaper change because they are lined with fabric. ?Not a good option if you have to be out running errands or want to be away from the house for the day.?
I LOVE the thirsties. They have the same size velcro (or Applix as theirs is called) as the bummies so no rubbing on the skin like the Proraps and have leg gussets to keep the breast milk poop nice and contained. They also don't have a fabric lining so it is super easy to wipe them out and put them back on if you are out in public and don't want to carry a bunch of extra covers with you. (Oh, and it seems silly but I like the colors, even though they are under clothes
I got my thirsties on amazon and found that some of the colors were cheaper than others so it pays to look carefully before you buy. (And if our next child is a girl she is just going to have to wear blue diaper covers ?
At night we use a regular prefold in a bikini twist lined with one of our infant orange GMD prefold's and a piece of fleece blanket that I cut into strips to help keep the moisture down. All of that is covered by a Medium Prorap (we also got that at our shower). When he gets bigger I am thinking of going with a Monkey Snuggles night time fitted diaper covered with wool. But this works great for now (and is cheaper

Ditto! FB OS are our favorite with DS followed by BG4.0 with snaps (the 3.0 with velcro are only so so).
