First baby purchase and weird ALLERGY

The in-laws ordered baby's crib today! We are getting the Morgan crib from JCP. Big Smile

I have looked through the catalog several times, and each time I am so drawn to this crib. It compliments the other furniture we have in our home. So, last night we went for dinner @ ILs' house, and MIL mentioned that she wanted me to look at this book she got, there was a really cute crib in it that she loved.

Turns out, it was the Morgan crib. So they then told us that they would love to buy the crib for us. I am so excited!

On a side note, I think I am allergic to lycra or whatever Bellabands are made of.  I bought a pair of maternity jeans from Kohls on Friday also, and the tummy panel just irritates the mess out of me. I just itch, itch, itch  I cannot stand the jeans or the Bellaband. However, a friend at work gave me a pair of maternity jean crop pants with a cotton panel, and they are so comfortable.  I know this can't be a moisturizing issue, I am so faithful to my lotions/Bio-oil  several times daily.  Anyone else find that they itch when wearing the bands/pants??

  • I would try washing the pants and trying again...maybe someone else had them on and their lotion or whatever is causing you to itch.  I always make sure new items are clean before I put them on.

  • It may not be the material itself but how it's woven, too- tighter threads are softer and cause less discomfort. The cotton may be a higher threadcount than the band you used.

  • The material makes me itch too. I never thought about being allergic. I just deal with it though.
  • Perhaps you could try wearing a long camisole underneath them. I know another layer in summer doesn't sound appealing, but the lycra wouldn't be touching your skin.

Just a thought. I am a huge camisole fan. They just smooth everything out:)
