Had a really hard call today I responded to a 9 month old that sufforcated in their sleep during a nap at grandmas.  My heart just breaks thinking about it again, I cant even imagine what that family is going through, and has ahead of them.  Couldn't sleep so just was thinking about it again......needed a sad vent....

    I'm sorry, I know it has to be hard to run such a tough call like that. I pray that you can find some peace.

    That is awful. It had to be hard for everyone involved, and it truly has to weigh on your hearts so much. This shows how everyone needs to be greatful for every moment they have with the important people in their lives. (((HUGS))) I hope you are able to make peace with the call.

    I know what you're going through.  I'm a paramedic in NYC, and the kid jobs are always the worst.  I've been doing this job for 7 yrs, and there I still remember the first baby I ever had to work up 3 mos into my career.  I always have to take comfort in knowing I did everything I could to help them.  It's easier said than done, but try not to take it with you.  Hope you got some sleep...
