Hello!
DH and I have a 8 month old daughter and would like to start TTC #2 in about 2 months.
Before I had DD, my periods were extremely regular with 28 day cycles. My periods seem regular again, but now there I have 34 day cycles.
Anyone have trouble (or success) TTC #2 with such long gaps between periods after giving birth less then a year before?
Because of our jobs, it would be great to conceive in a 3 month window, which will give us maximum maternity leave time, so just wondering about anyones experiences.
Thanks!
Re: TTC #2 when DD is 10 month old, Help!
My periods were very irregular after I weaned DS from BFing in late March. We threw caution to the wind at that time and were unsuccessful in March, April, and May.
In mid May I started charting and found my cycle was running 45-50 days long. I was able to pinpoint when I ovulated, and in my 2nd cycle of charting we achieved a BFP! If you haven't picked up Taking Charge of Your Fertility, I would highly recommend reading that book and charting on Fertilityfriend.com. Good Luck!
I had really long cycles before I conceived DS. I would get my period every 45-50 days. It took 2 cycles to conceive my DS.
This pregnancy was a product of using the pullout method one time during the time I would have been fertile. It was the first month we did not use a condom. I also had a 50 day cycle this time as well.
Good luck, hope you are able to get pregnant in the timeframe you hope.
