GD twins are here!

I had my twins, Samson and Sadie on August 2nd at 37 weeks and 2 days via scheduled C-section. Sam was 6lbs and Sadie was 5 lbs 10 oz. They needed no NICU time and are thriving. Their blood sugar was a little low in the beginning despite having great numbers the whole week before. They had to supplement Sadie with some formula in the first hour to get her sugar back up, but after that, their sugars got better and better with each hour.

I thought I would be eating up a storm now that I can, but surprisingly enough, I think the GD diet wore off on my a bit. Don't get me wrong. I had 6 chocolate chip cookies today, but I'm not craving the things I thought I would be devouring by now.

Oh and the other benefit is that I'm already 5 lbs below my PP weight and they were born just 5 days ago. Now I just need my uterus to get back down to size and I'll be all set.

So for all you GD mommas out there, you can do this and it's so worth it for your babies.
