Hey galpal-
Alex and I are talking about coming out to Napa/Sonoma at the end of August for our 10th(!!!) anniversary. It's super last minute and we're still debating a few other places, but I have a couple quick questions. With the weather this spring/summer, when do they predict harvest/crush to begin? Do you know if the Auberge resort is worth it, or totally pomp and circumstance for the money?
If we do make it out there, we MUST drink some Merry Edwards. And I MUST hold the Kikimonster. If we choose another locale, I'll still see you for our annual President's Day weekend trip, right?
Re: *Ashleysred*
Hells yeah! Sounds awesome. I will ask around for when harvest will be. I have never heard of Auberge Resort. So I will have to put some feelers out for that one too. I will get back to you.
I think you guys should try Dutton this year too. Their Jewel Block Pinot if amazing. Dutton is pretty close to Mary Edwards.
From my friends in the wine industry, I learned that they are afraid they won't finish harvest before October rains. So as late as possible harvest will start. But, I am thinking, it should be a pretty awesome year for grapes considering the slow ripening on the vine. Mmmmm.....
And I know not a single person who has stayed at Auberge Resort. So I can't help you there.
When are you looking to come?
Hm. Boo for our trip, but yeah for the grapes!
We're trying to plan something for August 22-29th. Our anniversary is the 28th. We're still undecided about location, but we need to get out shizzle together stat.
Cairo? Cabo? Capri? WE JUST NEED TO BOOK SOMETHING.
I survived the RoLex wedding and all I got was this lousy husband.
