3rd Trimester

Who is more anxious you or DH?

DH is sprouting a few white hair waiting for LO to come. He wants her here now and is like a kid on Christmas morning looking at a pile of presents he can't open. I get a text every hour asking about any progression etc.

I think its time to send him golfing...

Re: Who is more anxious you or DH?

  • Definitely my H. But he's keeping his cool, Lol.

Now...my mother on the other hand! She keeps texting and calling under the guise of other things just so she can check on me. It's sweet and irritating at the same time.

  • DH is definatly more anxious! He has a random flip out about us being good enough, our house being good enough, our jobs being good enough, etc... I'd say @ least once a month. Very annoying, and completely out of left field.

I on the other hand am cool as a cucumber about having LO in our lives. There has not been a shred of doubt in my mind since I have been pregnant about us being good parent. I am so excited, and so is DH, but he doesn't like the unknown, and has a hard time with change.

  • DH.  He hold several conversations a day with her that I'm not allowed to listen in on....her deadline is this Monday so he'd have a few weeks to spend with her before school starts (both his senior year and a school he works at).

    He's so cute lol.

  • DH definitely! He freak outs about money all the time, its so annoying, we are going to be more than fine financially but he grew up with a rich daddy who bought him everything and he thinks that's how a "good parent" should be, it drives me crazy!!

  • Dh has thoes private convos too, and sometime in italian so I really donno what he is saying.

Im afraid that im going to have to fight him for her when she is born.

  • I am. I think if the pregnancy happend in a different manor (us being married, and no cultural differences) it would be him. My mom calls me atleast twice a day and ask if I am having contractions yet...
  • Def DH he says I'm hogging her but understands I would like to go 40wks and that I have NO control when she comes :)

We were in stapples today when he stopped me put his face to my belly and begged her to come out today!

  • DH is definitely more anxious. Every time I make an unusual sound, he jumps, asking what's wring.

    Kinda cute though

  • Now that we're at the end, he is just as anxious as I am... if not more, so he can quit putting up with my complaining. lol

Really though, he rubs my belly and tells her to come out all the time. Just a few minutes ago he said he hopes my water would just break all over the couch. haha

  • He definitely wants LO to hurry up and come out, but I don't know why, lol. I just wish I knew WHEN he was coming bc that is the part that's driving me crazy.

  • Me. But I have to do all of the hard work...labor, delivery, recovery, breastfeeding. He is pretty "been there done that" about things lol. Must be nice. If he's worried about anything, it's having time to work [he works from home].

  • I am definitely more anxious about it than my DH is! He has his random moments where he stresses out about the future (mostly $$$ related, not really about LO) but at least once a week I have a day where I'm just like "Oh man... this is REALLY happening!!! I hope I'm a good enough mom... what if I do something wrong? etc."

But my dad has been the funniest about it so far! My MIL calls every once in awhile to see how things are going and my mom checks in on us pretty often since she is going to have to drive 2 hours to get here for it (she's my extra support, besides DH).  But ever since I hit "full term" at 37 weeks, my dad calls me DAILY to ask "Are you on your way to the hospital yet?! Any news?" or he leaves messages saying "It's your DAD! Just calling for the daily report! Call me back!" LOL! I find this SO adorable... mostly because he wasn't too excited when we first told him (this was not a planned pregnancy) but now it's all he talks about! I think he's just looking forward to getting me back for all the crap I put him through as a kid. Haha!
