is there any way we can get this board moving again?

i really miss the old SaIF - it was always pretty busy, lots of updates and random talk and questions about cycles and pgcy and babies.

it seems like between losing all of the pg ladies to PaIF and then the insane amount of time it took the bump to fix the "error" issues, this board has really suffered and it's a vicious cycle b/c i'm sure there are a lot of people who, like me, want to participate here but don't feel especially motivated to since it's so slow.

so. is there anything we can do? or are SaIF's best days behind her?

(i hope this comes across the right way. i don't want to sound like i'm hating on the board - this was my sanctuary for years, as was TTTC. i love you guys and i miss you!)

I know what you mean. The summer is when I spend most of my time here, and this summer has been pretty dull.

I'm still here! Weekends in the summer always seem really slow on most of the boards. I think as soon as the weather starts to change this board will pick up again. I also think now that the errors seem to be worked out more people will post....at least I hope!

I'm around. We are moving home to the Toronto area on Thursday and have Ethan's baptism on the Sunday but I'll be lurking and back on the boards the following week for sure.

I'm here too! I've been lurking more the past few weeks because I was OOT and couldn't post from my phone. I love this board, but have noticed it die down a lot. I hope it stays afloat and we can keep things moving. I think now that there is a PAIF board it hurt all the posts on here.

I know... I definitely have more free time in the summer, and this one has been very slow. I go back to working 3 days in a few weeks and I won't have as much time for the boards then. I'd like to enjoy it while I can, but it's been too slow for that lately!

And I haven't had any underwear issues to inspire an entertaining/embarassing post....but if he keeps up this waking up in the middle of the night schedule, I will likely have some good ones soon due to sleep deprivation Wink

mousygail - I don't know what your underwear issues were before, but here's my funny story: The other morning I was wearing just a t-shirt and underwear to sleep in and then nurse Lucas in. I sat him up to burp and didn't have a burp cloth within reach. He spit up all over my lap, soaking my underwear and the couch. Can't believe I had to change my undies due to spit up!

Inle that's too funny! Here's mine: at the height of my sleep deprivation, I woke up in the middle of the night to pump and change my LO. He started peeing on me so I had to clean it up. As I was fastening the diaper, I kept feeling dripping on my legs. Looked down and noticed I had forgotten to put the bottles on my pump. Uggghh! Milk all over my lap and at trail all the way through the house from the kitchen! Ahhh, the glamourous life of a new mommy

I had a "I'm so totally a mommy" moment yesterday...I was laying in bed in just my sleep bra and underwear with LO on my chest...he threw up all over me...I had chunky milk curdles in my armpit..and then I felt something else warm...DH apparently had some troubles with the first cloth diaper he had put on DS and I ended up getting pee all over me and my body pillow. ahh...motherhood! I wouldn't trade it for the world!

Yes, I think it's mostly a summer thing. I bet it's slower on other boards too.

PaIF is probably a factor, but they're still part of us, even if they've been moved to the left, IMHO!

I'm hoping it has nothing to do with the technical issues. There were days I'm sure it did, but hopefully nothing long-lasting.

I think its a terrible combination of the PAIF board (not that I don't think the board should exist), summer, the errors and people getting busy! I'm still on every day. Though I only really get time to reply during Jacob's PM nap and in the evening. Sometimes I miss the opportunity to reply...

Anyway, old timer here...still around!
