Cheerios for m/s

I had my first appt with a nurse yesterday and she suggested eating plain (dry) cheerios instead of crackers for m/s.  I tried it today and it worked great...for a little while anyway.  She said they're more nutritous than crackers and soak up the acid in your stomach which causes you to feel sick.  Just thought I'd pass it along b/c I'll take ANY tips I can get to help me feel better!

  • My husband saw an online article about morning sickness which used the acronym BRAT.  Bananas, rice, apples or applesauce and toast.
  • Cheerios are awesome.  I keep a bowl of dry Cheerios by the bed so I can munch on them if I wake up during the night and when I wake up in the morning before I get out of bed.  I'll mix them with a little bit of Cinnamon Toast Crunch.  They seem to work for me....for now!

  • I tried the cherrios thing earlier this week ... everything was good until i threw up cheerios ... then it didn't work so well after ...not so nice either!!!!

  • So far the Honey Nut Cheerios are working for me as well, I have to eat them as soon as I get up in the morning to avoid M/S.

  • I've been doing Honey Nut Cheerios for a while now over crackers.  I seem to like the taste a lot better after the m/s.  I usually gulp them with some ginger ale too.  Helps settle the stomach.

    Where did you find them?  I've been searching high and low but no stores here seem to carry them!!!
