I've found a ton of great prices on tiny little "polo" onesies and rompers - great brands, too. . . but never on sweet little "baby" clothes! Those always seem to be boutique brands that don't go on sale. I'll treat myself to one or two outfits in each size that he'll wear to go visiting or out to dinner or whatever, but I'm just not willing to spend much on the outfits he wears to daycare every day, kwim?
Honestly, he probably looks better in the dark colors and collars - but I'm one of those who's just not ready for him to look like a little man yet!
Re: Tired of not being able to find deals on "baby" clothes
Do you have consignment sales in your area?
I usually leave a Just Between Friends sale with 2 huge garbage bags full of boutique brands and all kinds of sweet stuff for about a buck a piece.
Also, for totally different clothes, try a thrift store. You can get random brands, older clothes, homemade items, and it can be fun to find stuff you'll never see anywhere else.
Unfortunately, in my experience I have found this to be true for baby girl clothes, but not for baby boy clothes. Not many people dress their baby boys in sweet baby clothes any more, so there aren't many available on consignment. It's more sweater vests, polos, jeans, khakis, etc.
Do you have a Children's Place by you??? They always have TONS of stuff on sale and clearance!
Thanks. I'd been meaning to PM you and ask if there were any consignment stores in the area I hadn't thought of yet!
Oooh, thanks! I already signed up for the mini social at your recommendation
, and I've had some luck with HauteLook, but I hadn't heard of zuililly. . . off to check it out now!
