babysitter/mother's helper rates

What are you gals paying for a babysitter? What about a mother's helper ... meaning a girl that comes over and basically entertains your child while you get things done?

    Haven't had to pay, yet, but I'd expect to pay $8 to $10 an hour for a babysitter.

    We've been paying $7/hr.  Both times I asked what their rates was and that's what they told me. It's at the low end for the second girl we use but she also babysits down the street with four kids (7 yr old, 4 yr old and twins Jack's age)

    Our babysitter charges $10 an hour for up to three children.  We have added a third to the family since she has sat for us so now I feel like I am getting a deal.. lol.
