I am slowly coming to terms with the fact that my dream girl nursery is never going to happen. We are renters and can't change the nursery room carpet-think dark 80's style green (ughh....and yes, I'm aware of the carpet/allergen issue). The walls are purple and our nursery furniture is white. I had wanted a sage green glider, but this now seems like a bad combo with the dark green. Should I just go with a white glider? I am not great with this kind of stuff! Thanks for any suggestions!
Re: Color scheme question for glider
I think you have 2 options. 1 is to buy a LARGE area rug to cover the carpet. That way you can hide most of the dark green and also somewhat contain the allergen issue. As long as you got that in a neutral color, you could get your sage glider. But if that's not gonna work, then I think you should go with a neutral tan/brown colored glider so you really don't have to worry about coordinating it with anything in the room.
I 2nd the area rug idea.
Also, I just got my glider and ordered a sage from Dutailer. I don't know if this is the company you would use, but the color was a lot lighter than what I remembered or had in mind. While you can still see hint of 'green (sage)' it really is soo neutral. I am really, really happy with the color.Just thought I would mention that. I feel like my glider could go with just about anything.
