I had some pretty intense contractions and pressure all of last weekend and well into this week. Of course everyone at church asked us how things were going and if we were going to have the baby soon. And we said that we weren't sure, but it could possibly be this week. Not to mention that everyone is excited to have a new baby in the congregation. Well, we're still having pressure and contractions, but they've settled down a bit and I wouldn't be surprised if we were still waiting come Sunday.
I am SO not looking forward to all the "STILL pregnant?" comments and pitiful looks (everyone knows that our house doesn't have a/c) that we're going to get from everyone.
I feel so guilty that I almost don't want to go to church just so that I don't have to answer 10 million questions, AGAIN.

Try having your dad be the pastor of the church. He just updates everybody before or after service. But everyone still gravitates towards me at the end of service. I like to show up 5 minutes late & leave 2 minutes after he is done.
You're right--it would TOTALLY be worse if we didn't show up and we were still pregnant a week from now. EEK! I can't just send him, because our church is 20 minutes away and the hospital is right down the street from our house, so he would go crazy the whole time and be totally convinced I'd go into labor during the two hours he was gone. Plus, I'd be stuck at home feeling guilty for not being at church. LOL
Oh, I can't even imagine! Ours is bad enough because we work the nursery during the Sunday School hour, so people definitely take note when we aren't there. I can't even imagine how many people keep tabs when you're the PK!
