Pediatrician hunt! :-(

Ok so I prefer to go with a pediatrician who is a part of the TCPA group. I prefer one that is affliated with the hospital I am delivering at. However all of the ones I have found office hours are only M-F (No weekends - or same day sick appointments) are listed on their website.

 Anyone in the Houston area know of a good pediatrician in the downtown area apart of the TCPA group? Huh?

    Both of the Texas Children's groups we "interviewed" had weekend "sick visit" hours from 9 - 12...

    There is a TCPA group, Post Oak Pediatrics, on Woodway at Augusta and I know for sure that they have Saturday sick visit hours.

    Pediatric Medical Group has nightime hours from 6 - 9 I believe and Saturday hours.

    you're right, they do.  and i really liked it when my DD was newborn and we got to sit in the baby area, not with all of the sick kids.

    Honestly, having your pedi at the hospital is over rated. I thought it was a big deal before my first was born, but it really wasn't.

    I see you live in Humble.  I understand you want a downtown doc....but if you change your mind we absolutely love Cindy Smoot at TCPA Atascocita office.  She is absolutely wonderful.  I agree with PP that having your pedi associated at your deilvery hospital doesn't matter.  We used the hospital pedi and then got into our doc's office the day after discharge.  We live in Fall Creek and are very happy to have a pedi office close to home.  I work downtown and in the med center, but the babies will be in daycare up here in Humble.  So a pedi in Humble was the only way to go for us.
