Do your babies like tofu?

in Babies: 9 - 12 Months

If so - how do you give it to them?  I have never had tofu myself but I was considering giving it to the twins since it is so healthy.

    Sort of.....I've only mixed it in with bananas and mango and since it's flavorless she really didn't notice.  I'm not sure about by itself.

    DS ate some of mine out of my stir-fry at BD's Mongolian BBQ, but it just tasted like the rest of my meal. I'm sure he would eat it again if I mixed it with something yummy.

    Yes, but DD likes everything.  DH typically makes tofu fried rice.  So he cooks it in the pan and if he goes overboard on spices, we just wash it off and give to DD.  DH told me his mom used to wash off the food and give it to the kids(DH grew up in Malaysia).  Tofu just picks up the flavor in the rest of the dish, so you can make anything with it.     She loves it. She eats it probably twice a week. I buy extra firm cubed :)

    My daughter LOVES tofu.  I buy the extra firm tofu and give it to her in 2"-3" sticks.  She likes plain or plain with sauce or dressing on it.  She also likes the herbed tofu.  Fresh mozzarella works great for this too.  It is high in protein as well (though not as great as tofu is).

    Yes, you can eat it straight out of the package.  If you don't use it all put the rest in a tupperware and fill with cold water.  Change the water every couple of days.  The smell will go off if it goes bad (like if you don't change the water or just have it too long).

    I like it as a snack plain.

    G loves it. I buy extra firm and pan fry it with a bit of garlic and olive oil. ?I will also throw veggies in and make a stir fry.?
