I think I've mentioned the wives retreat and spa trip that I bailed on after the FH organizer was rude about our IF and losses. 

Apparently they never took me off the list, so I just got an email with all the trip info. I knew that the room, all meals and travel are cost free, and that we have to pay for the spa. Well the email just announced that when we get there, we get a $150 gift certificate. 

That's a nice trip to all be covered now, and it'd be really nice to have some spa time. The downside is still that woman will obviously be there, and I know there will be many other FHs attending as well. People are bringing their kids (since all the DHs are deployed) and there is no childcare during all the meals or at night.

I am rethinking going now, since if it sucks, I'm not out any money. But there is still a good chance I'll punch someone in the throat, or cry. Or both. 

So just out of curiosity - WWTTCAL do?

    Can you go and take notes about ugly their kids are, and then update us when you get back?

    I think you should go.  You deserve to treat yourself.  Free pampering isn't something I would pass up.  How much time will you really have to spend with her?

    A decent amount actually. Other than the spa time, most of the day is spent with all the women together doing marriage workshops and such.

    Thanks for the feedback, ladies :) I think I'll suck it up and go, and hope that it's worth it! Plus, like Allison said - I might get some good ugly kid or b!tching FHs out stories to bring back lol.

    yeah...i hafta say ditto. there are definitely moments that are probably gonna suck. but maybe there will at least be one cool kid there that you can hang with and make fun of the others with. i think you definitely deserve the spa time!

    I think you deserve a wonderful spa trip and should go.  I would add the ipod to the room service for meals post above and you should be all set to avoid the FHs.

    Go, drink yummy drinks, and talk on and on about how FABULOUS it is to still have your freedom, no little snots to worry about, how you and DH just up and went away one weekend, how you love going out with your girlfriends at the drop of a hat, how you can still rock a bikini...and on and on.

    I don't know hon, that's a tough decision. I think you should go though. And I agree with AB about the ugly kid updates Stick out tongue

    I think I would go and try my best to avoid the FHery or you could just be drunk the entire time.

    I would go, can't beat a free spa. Just make sure you remember all the fh stories to tell us.

    I would go and soak up the spa.  Hopefully you can find someone snarky to hang out with and critique all of the FH's poor clothing choices and bad parenting skills.

    Go, enjoy yourself and just ignore the insensitive FH.  Don't let her ruin your fun!  IMO, you deserve a spa treatment...

    You DEFINITELY deserve some spa time, lady.  So I agree with everyone - go have fun, avoid the FHes as much as possible and when you're forced into their company, jot down some notes.  And I love the idea of having drinks in front of them, talking about your freedom and all the other perks of your fabulous lifestyle and amazing body.  :D

     Here are some note ideas:

    Whose kid is the noisiest?  Snottiest?  Ugliest?  Stupidest?  Most annoying? (this can be different from noisiest)  Smelliest?   Most needy?  Most clingy?  Has the worst temper?

    Pictures (and drawings!) are highly encouraged.  Angel
