Yeah, I find it odd that they think their target clientele would need maternity clothes. I shop there occasionally for basic items or cheap earrings, and would definitely look at their maternity section if they had one (only because there are not enough stores that carry maternity to begin with!), but I always feel like an old lady in that store.
I will say, I love that they have a maternity line... for me... a 31 year old. But, uh, otherwise it is wrong on so many levels. Do their ads actually show PG teens?

The add shows what appears to be a couple of teens with one holding a baby.

I think they know their target demo goes way beyond 21.
C) I think they know that there aren't many sources for maternity clothes.
D) I think they know that the sources for CUTE maternity clothes are even more limited.
E) I think using teens in their photo ad campaigns got EVERYONE talking about them and every PG gal headed to F21 to see what the hullaballoo is about!
Re: Forever21 marketing maternity line for teens...

Did I mention that I met a 15 year old who had a baby a few weeks older than Hayden a couple weeks ago? OMG...
