Speaking of bellies... Anyone get a flabby lower belly?

Yea, I know. I'm out for a week and this is the sort of nonsense I come back with.

Has anyone noticed that the bottom of thier belly (and just the very bottom) is getting much looser and flabbier? Embarrassed

I had a perfectly round and super stretched out belly and now the bottom is mushy. I hear this sometimes happens once LO engages her head in the pelvis. I'm crossing my fingers thats true and not some BS I was fed to make myself feel better.

Yes I have noticed this in the last week. I was just thinking the same thing you posted. Last week I noticed that I was feeling things alot lower and my ob told me at my last appt that lil guy is engaged. I guess that is what it is from.

Mine(just lower belly) turned to mush after I delivered O. I am carrying so low this time, that I'm sure it is going to require a tummy tuck. However, this is the end of babymaking for me, so I plan on really being concerned and working out like the sexy b!tch I once was...

Mine's exactly this. It's been like that since she really started dropping at about 35-36ish weeks.

This is exactly me. It disturbs me to look at it. It even hangs down a little over the pubic area and the skin gets sweaty easily and itchy from the hair line being right now. I feel like I am forever dousing it with baby powder to get some relief.

I never heard anyone say why it happens. I just assumed it was a fantastic layer of fat that made its way downward because it's all getting so heavy over all.

I had that with DS and it's already showed up with this pregnancy. It was gross and strange when I first felt it. Sadly, it never went away after I had DS and turned into a pooch over my c/s scar.

YES. And I hate it! It looks like a little muffin top under my hard baby bump area and it's so weird. I personally think it is all my pre-existing fat that got mushed down as the baby got bigger. I am carrying very high during this pregnancy (didn't last time around). My DH jokes that the baby is in the penthouse apartment and no one lives the basement - that's what it looks like sadly.

I thought it would firm up once my belly started popping out but it hasn't. I guess everything else decided to stretch out more.

i was worried i might have been gaining too much weight,lol but its only underneath my belly button and down. and ive only gained like 3 lbs.

Late reply, but I have something like this too. Doc said it was a bit of fluid build up, perrfectly normal and nothing to worry about. It has gotten bigger as the belly has gotten bigger, but still they say nothing to worry about.
