I need some suggestions

We moved DS into a big boy bed this weekend so far it has been ok. I knew that we were going to have to laid down with him but the problem is he won't go to the sleep for me, just my husband. If i go in to put him down it takes like an hour and still no luck, my husband lies down with him and within 10-15 mins our son is asleep. I don't know why he does this.

Does anyone have any suggestions or advice on how we can get him asleep wihtout lying down with him?

    could you try the sitting next to his bed in a chair..and then slowly moving towards the door as the days go on?  ds went thru a stage where he wouldnt take naps and it worked like a charm.  i didnt talk or touch him..just reassured him from time to time.
