I'm clearing out some baby stuff that we don't need any more - since we're not planning on having any more kids, I thought I'd offer my pregnancy books (and Ben's "OMFG I'm gonna be a dad!" books) to you ladies. They'd probably be most useful to a first time mama someone who isn't too far along (or is still TTC), but I'll give them to whoever wants them. Up for grabs...
Mayo Clinic Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy
LOVED this book. Super helpful and very clear info from a trustworthy source. Also very unbiased about controversial decisions (e.g. pain relief, circumcision, etc). I also liked that it had a "when to worry" chart for various ailments during pregnancy and for newborns, which helped me not stress about a lot of little things.
The Pregnancy Bible
Very informative - I primarily bought it for it's faaaaabulous week-by-week section for what's happening with your body and your baby during pregnancy.
*Note: this book illustrates your body's changes with actual photos of a nude pregnant woman. I thought it was really helpful, much better than illustrations, but not everyone likes it.
My Boys Can Swim!
A fun little book - it's a decent overview of pregnancy, and Ben really liked this one for the humor...and because it's short.
The Expectant Father
Well written, entertaining and still informative - I read it and even found some of the info useful! This was Ben's go-to book when he had a question about something.
Any takers?
