Birth story - still no pictures

I started having contractions at 11 pm on Saturday.  DH had *ahemahem* helped get the contractions started.  I waited for an hour timing the contractions and then called the OB office to see if I should go in.  They gave the ok, and away we went.  We arrived at the hospital a little after 12.  This is where things get a bit fuzzy for me, so I'll just break it down into durations:

6 hours of laboring for my cervix to dilate to 4 cm so they would officially admit me instead of being sent home.  I was having crazy "coupling" contractions where I'd have 2 right back to back.  I also had several 6 minute contractions.

After being admitted, I labored for another 6 hours (still no dilation further than 4 cms) before they decided to administer pitocen.  At that point I broke down and got the epi.  So much relief and I was able to sleep for 2 hours.

6 more hours and they said if I didn't dilate to 7 cm soon, I was going to have to get a c-section.  Somewhere during this time my epi stopped working.  I had just paged the nurse to tell her so when the catheter and all from the epi popped out of my back.  So I had to get another one.  No fun.  Just as they were doing the last check before having the c-section I finally hit the 7 cm point.  Onward marched the laboring (or laboring down) for 4 more hours.

No one had told me that there are pressure pains involved that even the epi wouldn't touch.  At one point I think I completely broke down because I didn't have any coping mechanisms in place to deal with that kind of pain.  With my dh's help we found something that worked and things went back to being manageable.

Then came the pushing.  I pushed for 2 hours before I finally consented to the c-section.  She just wasn't going anywhere and I was exhausted.

At 5:20 on Monday morning she was born after 30ish hours of labor.
