I went to pick up a copy of my records tonight to bring with me to my consult tomorrow and of course I read everything in there. I came to my u/s and saw the notes that said yolk sac and tiny fetal pole. This whole time I thought I had a blighted ovum because the OB (not my usual one) just said the sac was empty. I was crying and didn't ask for further explanation and logically assumed it was a blighted ovum. I mean he said empty sac and never mentioned any fetal pole at all. The weirdest part is, this made me so happy. I always struggled with feeling like I was grieving something that never was there even though I know I was a mom when the test was positive, but still, intellectually I struggled with it. I was just so happy to see that something was actually there. No matter how tiny that fetal pole was, it was there. It's sick that this made me happy isn't it???
