My mom has off work on Wednesdays, so she takes DD to spend some time with her and give me a little break. Anyway, she just tried to put her down for a nap and she climbed right out of the pack n play. She's still in her crib at home, so she hasn't slept in a big bed yet, so what do we do when she's not at home?

oh wow. i was just thinking about this yesterday. we nap one in the nursery, and the other in my room in a PNP. if/when they start climbing out of cribs i plan to use crib tents. i don't know that anyone makes tents for PNPs??
the idea of a nap mat doesn't thrill me. i know it works great in a DC setting, but i don't think babies feel the same peer pressure at home to lie on a mat. plus i'm guessing (mine don't go to DC) that the sleep area has to be baby proofed... maybe you could gate off an area, or use a super yard. but she might escape that too. still i might try the mat thing just to see! would be an easy solution if it does work.
couch, bed w/a bed rail, crib mattress on the floor
i just went hunting, and found one on amazon that isn't available...

i guess OP could get a peapod... not sure if a toddler could escape one of those. i'd like to borrow someone's peapods to travel with the girls, but don't feel like buying 2 of them just to find out my girls hate them.
