braxton hicks episode??

Pretty sure I was having Braxton Hicks episode last night, a few hours of being very uncomfortable and the baby beating me up good.  Today I feel tired and as weird as it sounds, my insides hurt.  Baby still moving like crazy today.  Anyone else felt like this?  Is this the baby trying to get into position?  My insides hurt, pushing on my stomach is achey, anyone know anything?

Re: braxton hicks episode??

  • My Braxton Hicks contractions come and go several times throughout the day.  They don't last hours for me and I usually don't feel LO when I'm feeling a BH.  They are getting increasingly uncomfortable as I get further along, but not painful - just really, really tight.

These days, when LO decides to get particularly active with big movements going on for a while, I am sore for a little while after.  I chalk this up to the fact that she's running out of space...and I'm just thankful to feel her move. :-)  I don't know if it means she's getting into position.

    How far along are you?

  • I could have written the original post! My belly gets SO tight and then it is sore and hurts! Of course the dr says to drink more water, but I drink enough water for 5 camels to survive in the dessert for 50 years. I think your body is just practicing. The actual braxton hicks episode doesn't hurt, but afterwards it does. So weird.

  • Almost 35 weeks.  I am telling you guys that my insides are achy, my whole belly hurts today.  Laying, standing, it does not matter, they still ache.

I started experiencing that around that time as well, but for me it has passed.  If you're concerned, just give your doctor's office a call!

  • i am currently have a whole bucket of issues with those nasty things. My doc said if they are painful and consistent (ie: every 5 minutes, increasing in pain) then you should call. And of course, look for the usual leaking of nasty stuff, or spotting.

If you start having a lot of them, change positions, drink MORE water, and they *should* go away...I think if all of that fails, then call the doc.

Ive been having them constistently every 5-10 minutes for the past 2 weeks which SUCKS, so they put me on bedrest and on this anti-labor drug. blech.

    good luck!
