I feel like we'll be here forever.

On this base, that is. Our newest list of BOPs are still pending. Maybe we'll get lucky with one of these bases. Here's to hoping. I am a little bummed I'll be here again alone this winter. But, oh well, what's another winter if this could be our last winter at this base. If you could, keep your fingers crossed for us, please.

    GL! But, just to say hi, I'll be joining you at GFAFB. We're heading there soon and are pretty excited (I'm soooo over AK!).

    Ah! Finally someone coming here!! You have no idea how exciting that is to me, since the base is so small. It's downsized so much the past few years. We've been here 7 years. We keep trying to get out of here, but, no luck so far.

    How long have you been up at AK? We put in for up there a few times and were denied, lol. Then we decided we were over the cold and started trying for warmer places.

    Good luck! I was born and raised in ND (Minot) and I don't like it there either, LOL. We spent 10 years at Eielson and LOVED it! We had planned to retire in AK, but our youngest was born with Williams Syndrome. Since AK doesn't have a pediatric cardiologist, we can't go back. Sad
