Mr Techie's gift for me and the baby

I got the RITMO listening system in the mail yesterday. I knew my geek wouldn't be able to resist. Wink

I mentioned it previously in this thread.

I like it so far. I wore it for a few hours yesterday. Baby Techie rocks out to music in the car and seems to like the surround sound option in his/her living space too.

I was worried that I wouldn't be able to adjust the waist band small enough for support. It's designed very well so that you can actually adjust it as small as you need and it comes with an additional extension piece in case you have a bigger belly. I could feel my weight settle and my joints shift when I took it off. I haven't worn it long enough yet to find out whether or not it's worth it as far as taking the strain off my joints but it's looking positive right now.

I hooked it up to a small 4G Shuffle that I had here at the house (thinking the lighter the weight, the better) but I don't like the volume control on the earbuds that I use. The music comes through to the baby just fine. I think a Nano would be best and the full iPod will be a bit large. The belt is designed to hold every mp3 device though and would support anything you chose to plug in to. And you have the option to plug in your ear buds or not, it doesn't mess with the way the speakers work.

That's my mini-review so far.

My DH ordered mine last week. We own a DJ business on the side so he started making mix CD's for the baby once we got our BFP. My RITMO is being delivered today, I am super excited.

As a personal friend of MrsTechie I can honestly say that she and Mr Techie find the coolest things. MrsTechie always finds the greatest deals on things, and I think a blog or even a book (think "Baby Bargains") would be an awesome idea! She is a wealth of knowledge and I don't know where I'd be without her. I ask HER questions before asking my dr. For real. Haha.
