Dropped the little one off at daycare this morning. It was very hard, and I seriously cried all morning, but she was fine when we left. It's already been nice to have some adult interaction, but I feel like I'm missing my left arm or something!
The first week back was horrible for me. I cried everyday on my way to work. I even cried while holding in an appointment, I had to make up some lame allergy story. It gets better.
Well, I had a long answer all typed out this morning, and then the power went out at work! We just got it back now....oy! The first day went pretty well. It was super hard, but we made it! I cried from the time I was in the shower until I walked out of the daycare center, but was pretty good once I got to work. I ended up going during lunch and feeding her since she only had take 1/2 an ounce when I called around 10:30. It was so nice to be able to be there and see that she was okay!
I had lots of friends and family that called and texted to check up on me, which was so nice. This morning was a little easier, I just cried right when I go to the center, but was okay once I got in my car. I went again for lunch today, and I probably will for the rest of the week. They said she was really good this morning, and she did manage to eat 2-3 ozs, although she is not sucking it out, she's just swallowing what is dripping out of the bottle!
Thanks so much for the support, it truly helps so much! It's nice to know there are other people that have and will be going though the same thing!
Congrats! I am actually in the process of deciding if I should go back to work after the baby is born in October or not. I think for some it is so easy to know but I've been off work now for over 9 months and I really miss the interaction with other adults and the baby isn't even here yet! I have the ability to SAH however I wonder if I'll go crazy so I've decided to wait and decide till after she is born. Then I will know how I handle it. I am already sick at the thought of leaving her so I can empathize with what you are speaking of!
