Oooh ooh I have some! Ava recognized the letter "B" the other day.
She also fed herself spaghetti with a fork the other night. Cleaning up reminded me of the scene from Baby Boom when Diane Keaton was on the floor with the spray bottle cleaning up!

Wow she is using a fork. Way to go Ava!
Well about 20% was actually getting in her mouth...so we are working on it..ha ha
Ada is super vocal. She babbles all of the time. We are pretty sure that she has said her first word. When looking in the mirror, playing with dolly, and playing with her friends, she will say baa bee (baby). I wasn't sure she really had it until a friend, who had her son, Finn, in one arm, picked Ada up with the other. Ada reached over and bopped Finn on the head, while saying it very deliberately.
Her bike helmet finally fits, so we took her for her first ride this week. I think she looks so old in this picture.

She is so adorable. And you're right, she does look so grown-up in this picture!
Nothing too exciting.. . we got E a water table last weekend and so far she looooves it. She's just talking and singing up a storm and is obsessed w/ DH right now - she talks about him and asks about him anytime he's out of sight. We pulled in to the garage last night and she screamed when she saw him and then started clapping. Me? I walk in to daycare and she runs past me to get to the water fountain. ..

Aw she loves her daddy.
Carrie- I can't believe how grown up Sean looks in your siggy picture.
As for Annabelle she has started to pull up. I actually saw her climb up the steps on Sunday. Eck!! She also has gotten her first bump on the head from falling into the coffee table. Let the fun begin.

I know. He instantly turned into a little boy
Yeah, Jen you are in for it! Once they start pulling up on stuff....there is no stopping them! but so exciting
All the babies are getting so big, I can't believe it!
Jen- Isn't it an awful feeling when they get hurt? Collin bumped his head on the coffee table last week and I almost cried. He had a bruise for a couple days. I felt so bad!
Mine was on fb too, but yesterday was a big day. First I found Collin's first tooth poking through. Then Monday night and last night he actually ate bananas and liked them after three weeks of turning his head to all attempts at solids.
He also has been getting onto all fours from sitting up and rocking forward trying to get to things. DH thinks he'll be crawling this week. Makes me so nervous because he is so determined.
OMG - Carrie! Where did your baby go? Seriously. .. wow
I know, I remember little Sean from the first playgroup at your house!
Seriously! I remember that Sean had just started to sit up on his own. And of course I had my little lump of a baby who was 7 weeks old and did pretty much nothing!
John is going through a Mommy phase, after I pick him up from DC he wants me to hold him all.the.time, I can't get much done. He is still army crawling, but gets up on his knees while standing in place. DH swears he heard him say "mama" but I think it's just one of the sounds he makes most of the time.
Amelia is 5 months now and so much fun! She is becoming a bit more particular about who is handling her...like looking at them and being all "I don't know you so I am not gonna smile...." We went out to eat in NJ over the weekend with a lot of family. Amelia fell asleep in the car ride there and she slept for the first hour of dinner out. When she woke up, she was shaking and crying so much...we had never seen that before....she is much more aware of her surroundings now!
Here is Amelia for the first time in her baby pool...kinda unsure right now...
Here she is sitting on Daddy's lap while in NJ, looking much happier!
I have some - Emily is expanding her vocab. She now says "cawor" when she wants to play with chalk and when we're outside she sees "bow-wows", which are actually flowers, not dogs as I had originally thought. She is finally getting the idea of "yes", why this one was so much more difficult then "no" is way beyond me.
She still won't talk to strangers but she will say goodbye to the park.

Not sure if I ever introduced myself. First time mom to be, having a little boy - Oliver Gary. 2nd trimester has been a pain, literally, with very very bad GERD issues. So, very looking forward to not only the 3rd trimester but just getting through the next 3 months and giving birth.

I'll chime in - DS is on his first annual family beach trip, so he's just being passed from relative to relative. He's still somewhat in that newborn "slug" stage (as my MIL refers to it), but he's really become far more alert in the past two weeks - he's started to smile, "talk," and check out things around him. He held his head up at a 90 degree angle during tummy time a few days ago and DH was SO excited - it was hilarious. The things that thrill first time parents!
I didn't have a chance to respond yesterday, but such fun things happening with all of you and the LOs and LOs to be!
I swear, every month I say that I like this month more, but LJ is just so stinking fun right now. He smiles and laughs at almost EVERYTHING DH and I do or say. He loves "talking" to us, reading books, singing songs, playing on the floor. We introduced Sophie and he loves her, along with a little talking CD player that my mom bought him...he is obsessed with both of them. He is still rolling around like crazy and has started to scoot himself about lately too...his legs are ready to go, but his arms are lacking, haha. I set him down on the floor on a little blanket and he was 1/2 across the room 2 minutes later. He loves his feet and sucks on his big toe like it is his thumb.
We're headed to a wedding this weekend and he'll be staying with my parents all day and most of the night on Saturday (we aren't staying over, but it will be a late night)...I'm nervous and excited, lol!
Happy Birthday, little man. We love you so much!

It's FREE and EASY!
It started on Sunday. DD becomes a different person at about 6 pm. I actually took her to the doctor's today almost hoping she had the Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease going around at daycare, because I really didn't want it to be colic.
I am really hoping that this turns out to be a short lived fussy phase due to transitioning to day care full time.... In the meantime I am back to sleeping whenever she sleeps.
Ella got that evening fussiness thing at your DD's adjusted age - so right before I went back to work - joyous! They call it the "witching hour" - it lasted about 1-2 hours most nights. Never all out screaming/colic, but definitely NOT happy. I think it was just a sort of overload of information/stimuli and she had to cry to settle herlself down. Hang in there. . . it'll get better. In the meantime, don't feel guilty if you send her to daycare and you take a day off for yourself to rest & recover.
Thank you Kathryn! You give me hope!! So far it has just been 2-3 hours and evening, not all night. SO, I hope it is what you are referring to and doesn't progress to all night scream fests.
DH is home tonight so he is on Baby duty for the first time sine this began. (He's in grad school and this week was his last week of summer classes before finals so all his projects are due.)

YAY! Sean! (Nope haven't been on fb today!)
I am happy to say I am finally coming out of being sick ALL DAY LONG! Now I can start enjoying the positives about being pregnant.
Congrats to all momentus occasions occuring with the LOs.
Isn't that a wonderful feeling? My 1st trimester was miserable.

Colic!
Head meet Desk (For snoozing, not banging.)
Oh No weezie! You guys can't seem to catch a break.
OMG - I'm sorry
Do you have help? Is your family nearby? It sounds like you have ALOT of stress already and colic won't help at all. .. I'm sorry
