I said SS because I always wanted like 4 lol. And now... well I'm just not sure... so we'll see what happens. We'll work it with #1 first and see what happens.
BFP#1 EDD 12/31/2010, Mommy's little girl Born 01/05/2011
Married My Love on 07/07/2012
BFP#1 EDD 08/14/2013. Suspected m/c 12/16/2012
DH has a son from his previous marriage but he is only with us once a year because of the distance. This baby is a boy as well so I would like one more and would like to have a girl. I don't want our little one to be an only child most of the year. But when we get to that road we will consider adoption as an option. DH was adopted and we both agree that adopting or even fostering for a bit would be fine.
DH and I decided on 5 children. His mother had 10 children, all together one of her daughters passed away in a car accident. We decided 10 was way too much, but 5 seems to work well. Almost everyone in my family has 5 kids. Except for my uncle, who has 2 dogs and 3 cats i.e 5 alternative kids. LOL. I'm having my 3 kids now while I am young. I'll get my A.S in nursing as RN in 2011. And start my career nursing once LO3 is at least 7-8 mnths old. Then when I am about 26 and DD1 is 10, DD2 is 7 and LO3 is 5 I will think about having more.
We know we want more than one child. But haven't decided on a firm number (definitely 2, maybe 3 or 4). It's all going to depend on how the kids are, our jobs/financial situation at the time, lifestyle, etc.
I voted SS. I originally wanted 3 and DH wanted 2. Neither of us wanted an only child. Now that I'm pregnant, I might want to stop at one! Well, at least, I don't know that I want to get pregnant again. I've always wanted to adopt, so maybe we can adopt the second one.
SS - I want two children total, but DH only wants one. He only wants to go through the infant stage once, so we were really hoping for twins. Sadly that didn't happen. We have tossed around the option of adopting an older child (3-5 years old) once our LO is around 7 or 8.

I put 3, but it is still up in the air. I always wanted 3, but I'm getting older so it depends. We will definitely (God willing) have 2. But there is a greater than 50% chance we will have 3.

I said 4 but I don't know if I can actually handle being pregnant 3 more times, I can definitely see the number getting smaller between now and LOs arrival...or we can always adopt.

Why wasn't "0" an option? "Want" and "have" are two different things.
Because I assume that if you've reached this point in your pregnancy, you want the child you're carrying, so it counts as one. Even if you didn't want it before you got pregnant, you want it now.
can't decide whether I/we want 2 or 3. But I put 3. DH might want 2. We used to be the other way around (me 2, him 3). More than 1 for sure, though, is our goal. I'd rather have 4 than 1.

I said 1, but we agreed on possibly 2.
Any more than that- you're outnumbered and they could some day start a mutiny.
I'd like 3 but I'm waiting to see how life with 2 is first.

I second this! Wanted 0, having 1. And I'm ok with that.
This!
Thank you! Not saying we didn't "want" kids, we just didn't want any so soon. Ooops! lol
Hah! DH and I say the same thing. We want two, because we don't believe in letting our children outnumber us.
I will be perfectly happy if this is the only one though. I already feel so blessed.

When I was younger I wanted 4. But since I didn't get started until my 30's, I think we'll stop at two.
I've always said I don't want a middle child (I am one), so if we do end up with three (not counting twins), then we'd go for four.
But, ultimately, we plan to stop at 2. Hopefully 3-4 years apart. We don't want an only child.
