Total Woman Gym - RANT!

I know that occasionally people come on here to ask where to get massages (prenatal and whatnot) and I just wanted to let you girls know about my experience at Total Woman Gym in Laguna Hills (adjacent to Nordstrom's Rack).

I received a gift card from my husband for 3 services for my birthday.  Which was way cool.  So I called to book my appointments and the scheduling was a nightmare.  It was so confusing, figuring out which special he purchased and what services came with it.  They were never clear on what exactly the gift card could be used for, but I thought whatever its a free massage, just go with it. 

So I go there for my massage and facial. First up... Facial.  Everything was fine but the facialist had HORRID breath.  Like serious halitosis.  And you know with a facial, they are all up in your space, breathing on you.  It was gross and I was praying for it to be over fast, but my skin looked great afterwards, so I thought, okay no biggie.  Then I had my massage.  I am not a talk during my massage kind of girl.  I have a newborn, I want peace and quiet.  But this lady talked and talked.  And to make it worse, the entire time she was upselling me.  Things like, "do you want to add on this for x amount?", "be sure to check out the sale table on the way out", "do you want to do a pedicure today for only this much more!"  I felt like I was at a car dealership.  So I left there completely unimpressed.  I still have a third service that I have yet to book.  I honestly dont want to go back.  My husband encouraged me to call and talk to the manager.  So I did.  Nothing really came of it, she didnt seem really concerned about her nasty breath employees and to make all this WORSE, she said, "Oh let me look into it and call you back!"  I have not, to date, heard from her.  This is the worst gym/spa ever.  If you want a massage, pay the little extra and go to Spa Gregories or Burke Williams.  They are much better and dont make you feel like you are at a used car dealership.  The customer service sucked and I was totally bummed.  So OC ladies... dont waste your time or money there!

    I'm sorry you had such a bad experience! Have you ever been to Body Centre Day Spa? That is where I go and I never have a problem.

     

    By the way, you made the outfit your daughter is wearing right?

    Yes I have been there and it was nice.  Small but nice and I got a cookie from Corner Bakery after!  :) 

    Oh and yes, I made that shirt.  Super easy!  I need to make a new one, she is too big for that shirt now.  I tried to squeeze her in it the other day.  It was ugly!  :)

    Are there any other location for that Spa? Maybe you could use your last service there.

    Body Centre isn't fancy, but it works =D

    I love the shirt. How did you make it? I am craft stupid.
