Hi All,
I'm trying to settle on a place to hold my son's 1st birthday party. I'd like to keep it casual, and would love to just have a get together at my home, but its simply too small to hold a party. I'd like a venue that would allow me to do some basic decorating and either bring our own food or that provides cheep food (pizza, etc). I though a local park might be a good idea, but I cant seem to find anything promising online.
We'd be inviting about 35 adults and 9 kids.
We live in alexandria (Old Town) and would like to stay in that area, but I'm open to other surround areas as well (Arlington for example).
Any recommendations?
Thanks so much!
Re: Local Parks for upcoming birthday party?!
Fairfax Co has a ton of parks that you can use for b-day parties. I just got their newest magazine in the mail and pages 12-13 list all of the parks, sites, rec centers etc and it indicates which ones you can hold parties at. You can prob access the magazine online at www.fairfaxcounty.gov.parks or else do a search. I know Burke Lake Park does parties and they have a carousel and a mini-train ride there too, which kids love.

This spray park in Arlington is awesome. We attended a bday party there about a month ago, and the kids had a blast.
