My DH was pissed b/c I "let" Julia fall off the sofa.
Then 3 hours later he let her roll off the bed, landing and rolling off an ottoman on the way down. He never apologized, but did shut his trap then!
So, yes, my girls have fallen off furniture. And heck, Elena here at 4.5 years old just got out of an arm cast she got b/c she was jumping between a chair and our bed and landed poorly!
More times than I can count. Yes. My answer is yes.
We've had babies and toddlers fall off the bed, the sofa, and down the stairs.
Yesterday our 4yo was jumping on the bed and hit the headboard with her mouth. Damaged tooth, torn frenum and busted lip = emergency dental visit. Oh the guilt!
Sam fell off the bed once and the couch once. The one off the bed was a doozie--his head landed on the corner of the leg of the dresser. He bled and got a bruise, but it didn't scar or anything. (However he does still have a scar on his chin from where our cat got him because he was pulling her tail when he was 2!)
Hannah fell off the couch a couple of times. Man, that girl hit her head on the floor more times than I can even count. When she was learning to sit up, she fell backward and hit her noggin on the wood floors at least once or twice a week. Throw in getting knocked down by Sam or a dog, and I'm surprised that girl didn't end up with brain damage.
ETA: These are only instances during infancy. The times they've fallen off of furniture because of something stupid they were doing when they got older...I can't even begin to list.
In case y'all hadn't guessed Cooper has learned to crawl. In the time it took me to grab a pair of pants out of the closet he crawled from the middle of the bed right off the side. Head first. Onto the hardwood floor.
I think I cried as much as he did. DH actually came by the house for a minute to make sure I was ok because when I called him all he could hear was the two of us crying. Cooper has a giant purple goose egg on his forehead and we have a couple of big family parties to go to this weekend. What are the chances my kid won't look like the domestic abuse posterchild by then?
My big boy is bounding towards 4! Baby brother coming in October!
Orion fell backwards off a chair in the waiting room of our pedi's office. I thought I had a hand on him while filling out paperwork but I was wrong. He cried so hard the receptionist asked if I needed ice. The other moms in the room refused to make eye contact with me after that. I felt horrible.
The first time she fell off the couch, I was RIGHT there. I was tickling her. She kicked hard against me and launched herself completely over the edge of the cushion. I don't know what happened between feeling the kick and her ending up on her belly/elbows on the floor. It happened so fast.
The second time she fell off the couch... I was letting her nap in the big corner cushion (L-shaped sofa) last week while I was cleaning the kitchen and THUD. I still feel like *** about that one.
Elena fell off her exercise mat. The mat is on top of foam tiles (edutiles?) That's right. She was on the floor, playing with her little mirror, inside the mat, and she rolled over and hit herself in the forehead. Big bump! So even when you think nothing can happen (she's on the floor. How can she possibly fall off the floor?) something can - and will - happen.
DD climbed the stairs at 6 months and rolled down them....that's pretty much how we figured out she could crawl, when we realized she was rolling down the stairs.
Not yet, but this morning I was refilling the small wipes bucket with wipes from the bigger bag. Cooper wanted the bag and all of a sudden - flip! He went from from back to belly and just about went all the way over. I was standing RIGHT there, just not directly in front of him.
I did walk through a door way Sunday and he leaned back to get a big smack of door jam on the side of his head as we went through. Real nice.
Aw, I'm sorry! It's bound to happen and the good news is he's just fine!
Abbie fell off the bed when I was sitting right there with her when she was about 6 months old. By the time I realized she was falling i couldn't catch her - all I could do was grab her foot so I flipped her so she landed on her butt instead of her head. haha. I felt terrible, but she was fine.
changing table once, and she rolled down the stairs once. *That* was scary. I'd forgotten to close the gate and she was trying to go down them and started rolling before I could get to her. Luckily it wasn't a fast, head-first skid towards the tile floor, but she was only about 1/4 of the way down when it happened.
C fell off the bed at least twice and off the couch once. When he was learning to sit up and crawl he hit his head on our ceramic tile numerous times. I'm clumsy myself and always seem to be knocking him into walls and door frames since he's often right under my feet.

DS fell off the couch and bed multiple times due to his goofing around.

off her dresser, which we use as a changing table and hits me a little above my waist.
three times, twice with me and once with dh

She doesn't sleep anywhere but her bed now.

Not yet, but I'm sure it will happen. She's not mobile yet....
However, given her tendency to launch herself backwards while we hold her, and what monkeys both DH and I were, I know it's coming.

G fell off the couch twice when he was between 4-6 months old. He's also fallen off the bed, but he was a little older.
A couple of weeks ago he tripped over air and landed forehead first on our tile floor. He had a real nice goose egg, but it went away pretty quickly.
