Pushing IVF#3 Back A Month

For my upcoming protocol I'm not on BCP so I'd start stimming around the end of Aug. and have ER/ET around Labor Day.  DH is going OOT for a bachelor party then.  We looked into having my mom come down and take care of me and DH doing frozen sperm, but have decided to just push everything back a month instead.  That means I have this month IF-free and next month I'll be doing endometrial co-culture, then IVF the month after that (starting stims late Sept.).

While I'm anxious to get started and I want to take advantage of the time right after my lap when RE said my chances are better, he did say we had 6-12 months and I would like DH to be in town for everything.  Also, I'm dreading doing IVF again and a break is sort of welcome. 

So that's the latest with me...

TTC in 2008. Stage II/III endo, Hashimotos hypothyroid, low morph (3%).
2 cycles Clomid/Ovidrel/TI/Crinone=BFN.
IUI #1 - 4 Follistim/Ovidrel/IUI/Crinone = BFN.
IVF #1 - Antagonist w/ ICSI 4/10. 17 retrieved, 5DT of 2, BFN :(
IVF #2 - Long Lupron w/ ICSI 6/10. 15 retrieved, 3DT of 2, BFFN!!
Lap 7/21/10
IVF #3 - Clomid/Antagonist w/ ICSI 10/10. 14 retreived, 3DT of 3, BFP 10/20 but m/c. No HB 11/15/10 - D&C 11/17/10.
FET - 2 blasts, 1 survived the thaw. Transfer 2/19. Beta #1 3/1 375, Beta #2 3/3 885, Beta #3 3/8 4261, Beta #4 3/11 9005. U/S 3/8 1 sac 1 yolk, U/S 3/16 1 heartbeat 114bpm!

 

James born Oct. 24th 2011 via c-section at 38 weeks!

    Good luck patchen! It sounds like a break will be a good thing - I try enjoy break cycles, no stressing about meds, timing, etc. I hope #3 is it for you!

    Gosh, you are such a trooper!!! Good luck, a break might be good to get you more geared up and hopeful!! Always pulling for you to get a BFP!!

    Good luck! I think a break will be a good thing :). I totally understand because I'd want my DH in town too. Hoping that this IVF is the one!

    I know a month seems like a long time but it will fly by!

    Hopefully the break is just what you need to get your BFP.

    Breaks are good - I never wanted to take a break but I was forced to when I switched REs.  It was great - we travelled and had a ton of fun.

    Not sure if you are into this, but it might be a good month to do herbs...

    Me: PCOs DH: Perfect!
    4 Fresh IVF cycles + 1 FET where embies didn't survive the thaw = 2 perfect little men!

    I would want my DH there, too. Sounds like a good plan and I hope you enjoy being IVF free for another month. I hope this is IT for you!

    Lots of luck patchen!  I know a month seems like a long time, but our break was seriously the best thing we could have ever done!  Enjoy your break and you'll be cycling again soon!
