When is your first appointment?

I called my doctor first thing this morning. They schedule a consultation with the nurse at 8 weeks and the first ultrasound and appointment with the doctor the following week. So we'll meet with the nurse on 8/23 and get our first ultrasound on 8/31. When will you get to see your little one for the first time?

I have an appointment Thursday for confirmation and blood work. I had an u/s at 6 weeks last time and then again at 8 weeks, but I'm not sure what kind of schedule they'll want to follow this time around.

I just called and they scheduled my first appointment for 8/20. I figured they would have me come in and do something - levels, blood work, etc earlier, but nope.

My doctor waits till week ten for the first appt, we'll listen to the heartbeat then as well. Appt is 9/10, it's gonna be a long wait.

I haven't called and made an appt yet. My doctor's office wants you to wait until you are a week late before setting anything up (at least I think that's what it said), so I will be calling today or tomorrow to setup my first appt. I assume it won't be til the end of this month, though.

My first appt is on 8/16. No U/S but possibly a Doppler to try and hear the heartbeat. I really hope they do the Doppler. I am quite the worry-wart and I think that may help me to settle down a bit, worry less.

this is my 3rd pregnancy. I had betas done with the first two pregnancies so I insisted on them for this one. my numbers were good so that was somewhat reassuring, but I did have a missed m/c at 7 weeks so I know I'm not out of the woods yet. My first appt is at 8 weeks, Aug 24. I will have ultrasound and quick consultation with nurse and then go back 2 days later to meet with our midwife for a physical.

My first appointmentis 8/31. I will have to schedule an ultrasound at that appointment I think. I had two betas done already because of my miscarriage in May.

I have a nurse visit on 8/18 (I think they send me for blodwork after) then my appt with the doc and U/S is 9/8. Seems so far away! With all the spotting I have I was contemplating calling to ask for b/w sooner but I keep taking the IC tests and the line is getting darker.

My OB is out of the office this week, so my appointment is Aug. 11. Seems like forever from now.

With DD they did an U/s at 8 weeks, so I'm guessing they'll do one at my second appointment? We'll see.

I called this morning. I didn't schedule an appointment yet, because they aren't super booked up and I'm not sure of our travel schedule, but the receptionist said I'll get in to see a nurse around 9-10 weeks. I'll get an ultrasound then.

ETA: Nurse practitioner.

My first appointment is on August 12th. I will only be 5 weeks and 6 days, so I don't know what will be done. Blood work, I assume. Other than that, I have no idea.

1st appt is 8/11 to POAS and take blood (usually they can get me in earlier) and will probably go back a week later arond 6.5-7 weeks for a dating u/s.

Wow, a few of you have appointments coming up pretty soon (though I know the time will drag for you just as much as those of us with appointments we have to wait a few weeks!)! Wishing you all wonderful 1st appointments! I can only imagine the excitement I will feel when I first get to hear that magical pitter patter of our little one's heartbeat for the first time!

I have my u/s on the 18th...I'll be ~7 wks 2 days. I see the Dr on the 19th. I wanted DH to be there for the u/s, so that's why I'm going 2 days in a row.

It can't get here fast enough.

My OB likes to wait until you are 9 weeks so my first appointment will be 9/9. They will do bloodwork and an ultrasound at that appointment for dating.

I have a confirmation appointment next week at 6 weeks and the first U/S at 7 weeks. I don't know after that - I assume they will give me some sort of schedule for appts at my first one.

9/8 - They like to do it between 8 and 10 weeks so they can really see something on the u/s.

I did go in this morning and have some blood drawn for betas - I kind of had to ask for it, but I have learned with my HMO that if you ask for something ,they will give it to you - they just aren't going to suggest it on their own a lot of times.

Ditto PP - I wish I could close my eyes and sleep and awake to find tomorrow was the begining of September.

Mine is next Tuesday morning, I'll be 6 weeks exactly. It's just a nurse visit to do initial blood work, family history, etc. My first real OB appointment is 8/20, I'll be 7w3d and hopefully they will do a transvaginal u/s.
