I just bought some organic milk, just to give it a try, and I swear it has a funny after taste. Has anyone noticed if organic milk tastes different from "regular" milk?
It should not taste funny. It is regular milk except the cows are not feed antibiotics and hormones. Soy taste "funny" because its more grainy tasting but organic milk is still cows milk. If anything my DH thinks our organic milk and meats taste more fresh and better.
It's because organic milk is ultra pasturized so it is heated to a higher temp that regular milk. (That's why it doesn't expire as early as regular milk). I actually prefer the taste of organic milk.
I went through an all organic phase but I'm over it (way too expensive and I'm not totally sold on the idea that all organic is better anymore). Anyway, I still buy organic milk for the taste.
We only drink Horizon brand organic milk. We have tried others and I have thought that they tasted bad. I'm okay with regular milk if I have to have it, but the other organic brands taste bad to me.
I haven't drank regular milk in a few years. I have found that the Organic Cow (I believe that is the name) has a funny taste now that I didn't taste before I was pregnant. Now I am only drinking Stoneyfield.
What brand did you buy? I buy Silk organic soy milk and I love it. I like regular milk too, but I wouldn't go back to buying it on a regular basis. Try Silk

Re: Does organic milk taste funny?

I bought some organic soy milk, and I did not like it.
I DO like regular soy milk.
And I DO like organic cow milk.
There was just something not right to me about the organic soy.?
