My son starts k4 this fall..

I'm so excited and can't wait till he starts in a month. I have a feeling I might cry! Any of u have kids who are starting school this year? Will u get teary eyed?..

    DS is starting Preschool in September. I'm already sad(ish) about it! I don't even want to go buy his book bag or clothes or anything yet!

    I always got teary as I was walking away from drop-off on my kids' first day of school.  It was the end of one era and the start of the next!

    My youngest starts kindergarten this year, and -- although I'm excited for him and for our family -- I know I'm going to be emotional when he gets on the bus the first time.

    High School English teacher and mom of 2 kids:

    DD, born 9/06/00 -- 12th grade
    DS, born 8/25/04 -- 7th grade

    My DD starts PreK this year.  She has been in daycare and preschool FT since she was 12 weeks old so part of it is no different for me but she will be at the elementary school for this so its the 1st time she will be at a new place.  I'm so excited for her - a little nervous but more excited.  She is sooo excited - its so fun.  We bought her lunch box this week although she will only need lunch on the days that the elementary does not have school but her program is still open and for the summer.
