AR and Rice ceral

Those of you who thicken formula with rice cereal...how much cereal do you add to the bottle, and how many ounces are you using?  I am making a 4 ounce bottle, and am not sure how much rice cereal to add. I forgot to write it down at the doctor's office, and there aren't directions on the box for that.

    I was told one teaspoon for 4 oz.

    My pedi said not to add any rice to the formula until LO is 4 months old.

    I would call your pedi's office.  There are so many conflicting opinions.

    My pedi said 1tsp/ounce, my GI dr said 1tbs/ounce, and the other pedi in the practice said 1tsp/bottle.

    My pedi suggested this for LO's reflux, and it has helped.  He said to add 1 tablespoon per 3.5 oz.  However, I always make a 4oz bottle and so I had 1 tablespoon to a 4oz bottle.  That seems to be the right thickness for us (not very thick at all, I'm really worried about choking).  GL!
