Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Starting to spit up A LOT at 4-5 months

Our LO is almost 5 months and just started spitting up A LOT in the last few weeks.  Sometimes its random, when she's rolling over, playing.  This makes sense to me since she's moving around a lot more.  But she's also doing it after she's eating, and spitting up a lot -- what could it be?

Dr. wasn't concerned and said its prob cause she's moving around a lot.  But I dont get why it's happening after every meal!

Working on #2!

  • I don't know, but mine is doing the same thing. His daycare teacher told me last week he had started spitting up more than usual, and they were going to try to keep him upright for longer after eating. But he'll spit up 2 hours after a meal, so who knows! It doesn't seem to be bothering him at all though. I'm going to call the pedi if it keeps up much longer, just to be safe, but good to hear yours wasn't concerned.

  • DS has started spitting up a lot more this past week.  He has reflux, but for the past 6 weeks or so hasn't been spitting up too much.  I have noticed that he often spits up after playing so I think all of the movement might be the cause.  He's been trying very hard to roll from back to tummy this week so he's been even more active than usual and never just rests when he's laying on the floor.
It took 3 1/2 long years, but we finally got our little miracle!

  • My LO's just 3 months but he'd started doing this too in the last few weeks.
