Has anyone had this done? I've heard many things that it could hurt the baby and i've also heard it perfectly safe? What do you think? I'm also thinking about getting a sonogram done the technology looks so cool. When is the best time get it done? I'm 12 weeks and i heard you could go at 15 weeks and find out the gender early. Do you think i should wait until the baby is more developed? Let me know and thanks!

Re: 3d & 4d sonogram?
It was AWSOME! I agree with the previous poster. Make sure you go after 20 weeks but before 34 weeks. Before 20 weeks they look a little scary (alien like) but if you go too late they are so squished inside you don't get very good shots. My SIL went at 36 weeks and every shot had a foot or hand in the way.
Here is ou 3d/4d with DD. Our Dr did perform 3d/4d but only for a second so we paid for it privately for a session (the dr. office refereed us to a tech place) and we brought the entire family. It was about $200 but worth every penny.
Our doctor turned it on during our NT scan when the baby was too wiggly for measurements. This wasn't a U/S for fun place, this was the NT specialist at our normal OB office. I didn't give the safety of it a second thought.
the place I went I chose the 2 visit package so I went with DD at 16 wks to find out the sex and a second time at 26 weeks to get a picture of my punkin.
I plan on going again this time at 15.5 weeks for gender determination and will be going again at 30 wks for the fun pictures of what baby looks like.
