1st Trimester

When did you start experiencing pregnancy symptoms?

Hello all! I will be 5 weeks tomorrow. Other than cramping and mild headaches I haven't really experienced any other of the traditional symptoms of pregnancy. When did you experience your early symptoms and what were they?

Re: When did you start experiencing pregnancy symptoms?

  • Hi & congratz :) I think I'm 8 weeks this week. My 1st appt is tomorrow to confirm. I 1st started experiencing symptoms a few weeks before I was suppose to get my period but didn't know it was a pregnancy symptom. I was all of a sudden really tired at work and becoming more hungry.  The bowl of oatmeal that would hold me over till lunch no longer worked.  Other than that I started feeling queezy around week 6 but even then I'd only feel it about once or twice a week. (I think it's the baby getting back at me for telling everyone how I "really don't have any symptoms." LOL last week I started gaging because of random smells & almost threw up.

  • I am going on 9 weeks, and have only had sore nipples, fatigue, and peeing more then normal.

  • My first symptom was sore boobs-- that started at about 3 weeks, before I even knew I was pg. I also noticed that my nipples felt tingly and really sensitive.

Around 3.5 weeks (still before BFP) I kept having weird cramps and twinges in my uterus. I kept thinking AF cramps were starting, but then the cramps would go away, only to come back again.

At 4.5 weeks the exhaustion started... I still have that going on. I also have some nausea/wooziness if I haven't eaten in awhile. And I'm REALLY thirsty.

  • I actually went to my ob/gyn two weeks ago because I thought I had a bladder infection.  It didn't burn when I peed, but I felt like I had to go all the time and I felt really bloated.  I went back a week later and I was pregnant!  My boobs have been sore too!

It's weird because I didn't think I would feel anything for months, but actually I can feel a lot!

    Good luck and congrats!

  • No major symptoms yet...and I'm pretty excited about that. I have been a little tired, moderately thirsty, and had a few headaches. Most of the time, I don't even really feel more hungry than usual, except for an occasional craving for something silly. But, yeah...not too bad at all. I hope it stays this way.

  • I haven't had anything yet with this pregnnancy but my first pregnancy morning sickness started about 8 weeks and lasted until about 15 weeks.  Right now I'm just bloated and tired.
  • I got pregnancy symptoms between 5 1/2 to 6 weeks. They literally came on over night. One day I felt fine and was super excited and happy and the next day everything in the house my me feel sick. I even hid under the covers and made my husband turn the channel when a commerical came on for a show about cupcakes. I'm 10 weeks now and they are starting to feel a tiny bit better but its sort of sucked.

  • Hello, I started to experience symptoms one to two weeks prior to my period.  It felt as though my period was coming - cramping, tender breasts, etc.  I noted that my stomach pain was higher than normal and that I was getting severe headaches.  The breast tenderness lasted a few weeks (still does) and I said to myself, "something isn't right here."  BAM!  BFP!  LOL.  I had been feeling nauseated but no longer.  I am pretty early on, four to five weeks.  I don't have my first appointment until next Thursday.  Sad
  • The only symptoms I've had so far are cramping up until last week (most likely due to implantation), frequent urination (which I hope I can figure out a way to get under control since I don't plan on telling my job for until I'm out of 1st tri) and loss of appetite (I wish i had this before the pregnancy so i could lose some unwanted pounds).
