Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

xp: diarrea, vomitting, chills - virus or m/c? :(

Im starting to get a little scared- I am 5wks and the past few days Ive come down with crazy diarrea and chills. I have thrown up too but mostly after eating. I am keeping hydrated and able to go about most daily activities but at times get super lightheaded. The diarrea has been the worst part- no "cramping" but just pure pain in my stomach. Oh, and Im sleepy allllll the time. Now, my daughter had a fever a few days back so I assume I picked up a virus from her (my husband had it as well- with diarrea but nothing as painful and horriable as I had). I started to feel better today but have had a headache ALL day and sweaty. This has been since Thurs that Ive been feeling like crap. Im planning on going to the dr tomorrow morning ASAP if I still feel this way, luckily the pain has stopped. Im scared because I know that if they do an ulrtrasound (which I am scheduled for one at 6wks- a week from now) that there is likely to not show a heartbeat just because its still early, I just dont want to freak myself out. I took a pregnancy test last night and it was still positive. I guess Im just scared and needed to vent. Does this sound like I just have a virus and on top maybe some morning sickness and being tired from the baby?

Thanks for any advice or thoughts.

  • I would probably call my doctor and explain it to them, if it's serious, rather than posting it on an internet board.

  • Well, everyone here had a m/c. Is that what you want to hear? There was just a post about this earlier today, it is not appropriate to come here asking for reassurance. I pray that you just have a bug and all is well with LO, but there are no happy endings here, as this is the bad news board.

I would call my dr. Good luck.

  • Are you effing kidding me?

    1) GTFO this board. This a safe haven for women who have lost their children. There are no happy endings here. If we felt cramps, we had a miscarriage. There, does that help you?

    2) Those are clearly symptoms of a cold, food poisoning or the flu. What part of chills or vomitting involves your uterus?

    3) Call your damn doctor.

    Wow.

  • I sooo very much apologize for hurting anyone- but I can not believe you would take offense to someone being concerned for the sake of their pregnancy, especially if you all have expierenced a loss.

    ARE YOU REALLY THIS DENSE?

This is not a one-stop-shop to learn about miscarriage. We are not here to reassure you, pat you on the head, or say "there there."

I had cramps and my babies bled out of me. Does that help you at all?

This a support group for women whose children are dead. Not a place to come ask women - who literally are still bleeding, recovering from surgery, or coming from the memorial services for their babies - if you might be miscarrying.

If you have concerns call YOUR DAMN DOCTOR. How could we possibly know what is happening in your utuerus?

I take offense at your insensitivity, selfishness and flat out thick-headedness.

OK, first off, the reason I posted is because on the same  d_amn page on 1st tri. that you posted this, there is a post about "if you are worried about m/c" with a very kind note asking posted NOT to do this very thing.

It's not that we don't care, really. But if everyone who was worried they might be having a m/c posted here because of lack of symptoms, weird symptoms, brown spotting etc. this board would be 1/10 people who actually LOST their baby, and 9/10 baseless worry.

This board is for people who lost their babies. Dead babies. That's all. Yes we take offense, because you are pregnant. We are not.

Really, it's all about the timing. I am three months out and no, I am not offended. But I post here to give support to people who were in as much pain as I was, not to tell every paranoid PREGNAT woman that things will be OK.

Are you kidding me???  Would you go to the funeral of a stranger who lost their child to leukemia and ask for their advice because you're worried that your child might also be dying of leukemia because she has had a cough lately?  I would hope not.  That is what you are doing here.

Quit trying to defend yourself.  Apologize and move on, you're only digging yourself deeper.

  • Why are you wasting your time posting this if you are afraid then go to the ER now not waiting to see if it gets worse! All the women on here are dealing with a loss not thinking that they maybe lossing their baby! Delete this post and post it somewhere else that wont offend women that are already on the edge!

  • I would DD this post, before someone who is actually struggling with a loss comes to this board and sees this.

You're perfectly fine. You won't have to live out the terrible nightmare that we are living. Get real. Now, please post your bullsh!t on 1st Tri or just anywhere I don't have to see it.

    1. You're an idiot.

    2. Call your doc.

    3.  Your idiocy has been XPed to other boards, and  I now feel like lurking on this board so I can just tell every chick who comes and posts some stupid 1st tri crap here like this that she's more likely than not going to drop her baby in the toilet like I did. Welcome to the club!

  • BTW: Now you are also a liar, since you claimed on First that you dd'd this post.

    No, clearly you didn't.

  • Why, in God's name, is this still here?
  • I say beat it.

  • Look, what you're going through is scary, but we're going through nightmares we'll never wake up from.  While you made a simple mistake posting here, you are now being ignorant by not deleting it.

imageBaby Birthday Ticker Ticker Every night I prayed for you. Then when you were in my belly, I prayed harder. Now that you're in my arms, I pray even harder.
  • This thread is dying on 1st Tri.  Let it die here too.  Hopefully the OP will actually delete it, but if not please let's not feed the trolls.  The sooner that this is buried back a page or two the better.
  • Would she find it comforting to know that I had every pregnancy symptom in the book, and not a single speck of spotting and I still had a MC?  I'm really surprised at the lack of sensitivity.....

    this!

  • From what I can tell you are having a m/c.  So sad.... Have a D&C tomorrow.  That is my advice.

    Get out of here....

  • My dead baby is still inside my body and I have none of these symptoms.

    But thanks for playing.

mine too... well I had diarrhea, so that could be a sign your baby is dead too.  get the eff out of here you insensitive jerk.

  • Report function ladies, Report.

OP is clearly ignorant and dumb enough to leave it up, maybe the Bump Gods will have some compassion. The OP clearly does not.

  • Oh, FFS. I can't believe this post is still up. Or that the OP is so dense as to not read what the purpose of this board is (listed at the top of the board thread.)

OP....come and see us AFTER your child has died, or AFTER you have been told by a MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL that your baby is not going to be a forever take home baby.

    Sheesh.
