Hello everyone!!  I hope you are all doing really well!

Things are generally good here.  Baby Boy is beating the heck out of my insides on a regular basis; I do not remember the kicks and rolls hurting like this with my DD!  But it's all good as I am happy to know he is in there and active and doing well.

Had an OB appointment with a different dr from the practice last week, just to try to meet a couple others in case my doctor is not on call, and she was really nice.  My blood pressure was amazingly good and I managed to gain a couple more pounds, so everything seems to be shipshape.  Starting in another week I will begin seeing the doctor every 2 weeks.

DH is going to San Francisco for a few days next week for some sort of seminar, so I'll be on my own for a bit.  DD is doing very well with sleeping outside the crib at night, although naps are still not really working.  Poor thing, she rolls off her mattress a lot at night and ends up sleeping on the floor, so I'm anxious to get her into her real new bedroom but still waiting on the handy man to get back to me on when he can get the room painted. We'd hoped to get her moved this weekend but it isn't looking good anymore.

Hope everyone had a good week and is heading into a great weekend!

ScoobyM - I am so ready to just have this baby already too. I remember a few painful kicks and punches, but it is way worse this time. I don't know if she's stronger or if I'm just wimpier, but she seriously jabs a lot of pointy body parts at me and then holds them there and it hurts until I push back and make her move.

Also, I am jealously looking at the congratulations to the new mom's update post and really want to see my name on there...I know it is too soon, but I'm cooked and done even though this little girl isn't. I'm just sore and tired and want her hear so I can cuddle and dote on her. I want her to meet her big sister and I can't wait to see the 2 of them together.

    I am a Wonder-Mom!

Awww...LyndaCarter -  I totally know what you mean!!  I just do not remember my first pregnancy being so hard!  I read a book about second pregnancies that says it is different after the first one (well, OK, in lots of ways but this one in particular stuck out) in that with your first pregnancy you are just excited by the entire experience since everything is new, but with subsequent pregnancies you are done with that part and usually just want to skip ahead to having the baby so you can get to the good stuff.  That's how I feel;  I liked being pregnant the first time, this time it is uncomfortable and restrictive and I'd just as soon have this kid already!!

Then I remember that I'll have to learn to handle a toddler and a baby and sometimes that makes me glad he's still inside LOL!

I actually get somewhat concerned sometimes b/c I recall my son's kicks being much stronger and frequent than this one's at 26 weeks. Maybe it's the boy-girl difference, or I don't remember correctly. Other then that everything seems ok. We went to a concert last night. I think this baby was in shock in the beginning and froze for a while, but then resumed her kicking when the loud music was over. Guess she is not a fan of Tom Petty's.

I had to make a trip to L&D Sunday night because I was having contractions. I was given some meds there to slow them down and was told to make a follow up appointment with my doctor the next morning. I went in and the MW I had the appt with was at the hospital delivering so I was to see a different MW. When I found out who it was, I refused to see her. The one time I did see her, she was very rude and condescending to me. So, I got to see another Dr in the practice. He wrote me out of work, put me on Terbutaline, and bed rest. I truly hate the medicine!!! But, I will do whatever it takes to keep these little girls baking awhile longer.

I had my regular OB appointment yesterday, and she thinks that Erica (BabyA) may have flipped from being head down to being butt down. We won't know for sure until next week at our growth u/s. I hope she turns back because I really want to try to deliver vaginally.

Hope everyone is having a great week.

There is so much going on right now, this week feels like a blur.

I am still trying to get used to this whole GD thing. Honestly, it sucks big rocks. Today they told me I can't even have my splenda ice cream at night anymore. The only thing I crave while pregnant (in L.A. in the summer with no AC) is frozen stuff. I am so angry that I can't have it. I had a tiny (6 carb) popsicle with cheese, nuts and 4 crackers as my snack tonight. It was okay but I am just frustrated with the numbers and sticking my fingers and my DH eating all the ice cream!

It was our 3rd anniversary this week, it was nice to get a sitter and go out to dinner. Nothing fancy, just time with DH.

My boss told me today he could lay me off before I start maternity leave which would totally wreck 4 months of benefits for me.

I had to empty our savings account to pay the mortgage today because our rental unit is empty.

My baby girl is 1 in less than a week.

New baby is beating me up too, just like her big sister. Brigid used to kick me so hard I cried.

The good news is, I see my Dr. tomorrow finally and I am really anxious to see the little one, he does an US every time.

All is good here. Totally sick of the humidity and people telling me I'm going to "pop" any day now. Nope, sorry, I have another two months to go. I am starting to freak out about getting things ready at home though. We moved the crib into the baby's room tonight which means DS is sleeping in his big boy bed for the first time tonight. So far, so good... but I'm fully expecting a rough night. I go to see my OB on Wednesday and then I'll start going every two weeks. Time has flown this summer. The other big news is that DS-- diagnosed with Celiac Disease a month ago-- has gained more than 4lbs in the past four weeks of being on a gluten-free diet. We are thrilled and I seriously cry when I think about how thankful I am for his diagnosis and his amazing "recovery." His pedi says she's never seen a kid bounce back so quickly. :)

My due date has changed because I am now scheduled for a c-section on August 20. Very happy to say that there have been no health problems so far despite being type 2 diabetic. I have NST's each week along with BPP's and they estimate the baby is around 6.5 lbs!

    Wishing everyone health and happiness!
