Light positive sign

in 1st Trimester

Hello ladies..I am new to this board.  I wanted to introduce myself and also get your advice.  This is my first month trying to concieve and my period is due today.  I took an EPT pregnancy test this morning and it's a very faint positive sign.  Should I be excited or should I just re-test in a couple of days to make sure i'm pregnant?  TIA.

    Get a pink FRER and test again, or a digital. 

    EPT is a blue dye +/- right?

    Yes...this test is a +/- sign.  I was considering buying a digital and testing tomorrow morning.

    Really any line at all is a positive, but I never used the +/- one before.  I would suggest getting a digital, then there will be no question.

    The first positive pregnancy test I took was a Clear Blue Easy +/- and it was awful. I'll never buy a blue dye plus or minus test ever again! Try the kind that has one pink line if you're not pregnant and two if you are. They're waaaay less confusing. Either there's a second line or there isn't. With the +/- kind of tests, the overlapping positive line can be an evaporation (false positive) line or look like one (false negative). When I took it, I couldn't be sure of the positive result I was getting because the positive line looked like it may have been an evaporation line or water line from the urine moving across it. The positive line started out darker and the same width as the control line but got narrower after like two minutes. It was terrible and just made me more unsure! Also, I wouldn't use the digital 'pregnant', 'not pregnant' just yet if your period is only due today. They aren't as sensitive as other tests. Good luck and keep your fingers crossed!

    Just to make sure I'd take another one....but it seems to me that you're pregnant!

    Faint sigh = BFP:)  Congrats!  I had a very faint sign with a cheap dollar store test.  First betas at 4 weeks was 137, 2nd betas at 5 weeks was 2548.  I'll be going in this Wednesday for my first ultrasound.
