XP: Poop question - kinda gross!

Andrew didn't poop at all yesterday, which I know can be normal for BF babies. Just now he had a major blowout that required a bath because he was so covered in poop. My question is about the consistency - it was kinda thick and goopy (I know, gross). It stretched when I moved the diaper. I'm not sure if it was mucousy or if this is diarrhea. I have no idea! Any help??

    Nothing sounds alarming. We had lots of mucous in poop when he had the sniffles.

    unless there is blood, chalky white, or pellets....you are fine.  Addy's poop was stretchy most of the time.

    Ditto the stretchiness.  DD has a lot of normal poop like this.  When she had diarrhea it was really watery.  Like liquid.  Not stretchy!
