Anyone get dizziness in 1st tri??

I did not have this issue with DD.  This past week when I wake up in the morning and walk to the bathroom I get really dizzy and feel like I am going to faint.  I have to sit down in the hall and let it pass- it usually only lasts like5-10 seconds...  but its starting to freak me out.  Its only been happening the morning right when I get up.

Anyone else experience this??

BTW- I just found out today I have a UTI (though I have no symptoms Confused)- from the urine sample at my OB appt.  Does that cause dizziness?

thanks

I was extremely dizzy 1st trimester!  DH had to help me stand up most times if I had been sitting for a while.

It could be that your blood sugar is bottoming out over night. I had the same thing happen, so I keep a snack next to the bed and eat a little something as soon as I get up. It could also be your blood pressure. You migh be getting up too fast. Try sitting up inthe edge of your bed for a minute or two before getting up for the day.

Yes, I have times of dizziness.  I find that I need to make sure that I drink lots of water and stand up very slowly.  In the morning I wake up, lay on my side a bit and stretch, then sit up with my legs over the edge and wait a few minutes and then slowly walk to the bathroom.  It is annoying, but seems to help.
    Nothing to see here....

thanks!  I was wondering about blood sugar.  I  took my BP as soon as I got to work and it was good- but maybe it was low first thing, I'm not sure.   I like the idea of leaving a snack on my nightstand- thanks!!

I usually lay in bed a few minutes before I get out- maybe I need to take it slower.  Thanks for the advice!

With DD, I was ridiculously dizzy in the first tri.  It was one of my first symptoms.  I was having to sit down after a few minutes in the shower it was so bad.

    With DS?  Nothing!

I was very dizzy and asked my RE about it.  He said that in early pregnancy, the blood flow to the uterus increases, so it can cause dizziness when getting up.  He told me to sit on the edge of the couch/bed, etc. for a few seconds before standing up.

While it is totally normal, definitely mention it to your doc as well.  Other things, like chronic low bp and low iron, can also cause dizziness, and these are very easily checked for.

I was dizzy my entire first tri. It would hit me out of the blue and knock me on my a$$ for a few hours. I hope yours lets up soon.

Prior to IF treatment, we got pg on our own, but m/c'd a few weeks into it.  Before I poas, I had two bouts of dizziness and knew something was up.  When I got pg w/ Claire, no dizziness.
