Only because the Mr. and I both liked the idea...and I've been working on this for MUCH to long and...I have one pinwheel made. I think I kinda suck at this.
I'm invested in pinwheel #4 here, so, we'll see how I do...
I'll post pics if it turns out usable. But I am finding it frustrating and I thought mean things about you for it earlier. But I"m getting better w/ practice...maybe her prices aren't *quite* as outrageous as they originally looked :-P
I'm sorry it has been a bad crafty day in general, too. Those suck. It's like when I have a bad baking day, I never want to bake again. Please post pics, I'd love to see it when it's done!
I have the basic idea on how to 'sew' the pinwheels together but...my threads keep breaking and such.
Apparently you need STRONG thread. (If I would have figured that out the first time the thread broke, I wouldn't have ripped paper on the next one :-P)
I'm sorry :-( If it doesn't work out or you get too frustrated and toss them (like I would do- I don't handle difficult well sometimes) let me know and I'll give a few other ways a try.
I've also had to figure out that you have to 1) put beads on both sides of the pinwheel (it makes it easier, IMO) and 2) when adhering paper layers together, apply glue to BOTH sides--or else they separate when your'ea ll done.
Very cute...I don't think I would have the patience....but just as a thought...you may want to try florist wire to thread the pinwheels...and then use ribbon....just an idea.

Re: alright, who was it who showed the etsy, pinwheel mobile they were considering trying to make?
