Hi.  I'm getting ready for an FET and have Hypothyroidism... we just found out my TSH jumped up to 6.48 (T4 around 13).  That's high for me but my RE just upped my Synthroid by 50 mcgs and wants to proceed with the cycle if my levels come down in two weeks (just a few days before Transfer).  I'm really nervous about either the cycle getting cancelled, or being allowed to move forward but my thyroid messing everything up if I'm lucky enough to get pregnant.  Any success stories involving funky thyroid levels out there?  Or where were your levels when you got pregnant?  Thanks!!!
PCOS, Hypothyroidism, a ton of IVF... finally it worked => a rough pregnancy => my sweet, sweet son born at 29 weeks 1 day

Re: Ques. from IFer for any of you ladies with Thyroid problems...
I don't recall my exact levels, but my RE is the one who diagnosed me. She prescribed me synthroid and I got started on it, then she was surprised when right before my IVF cycle my numbers (from CD 3 bloodwork) hadn't improved very much. Turns out the pharmacy incorrectly filled my prescription and I wasn't taking enough.
We just proceeded as planned (with the correct synthroid dosage) and my DDs are a result of that first IVF.
Our RE also discovered by thyroid problems, but referred me to an endocrinologist to get my hypothyroidism in check. The endocrinologist wouldn't let me start another IVF cycle until I'd had 3 straight months at normal TSH levels. Thyroid issues can cause developmental problems in the fetus, so although it set things back many months, it was worth it for us to wait.
Your situation is a bit different, as we were doing a fresh cycle. Not sure if FET makes things different. I was put on 50mcg of Synthroid (endocrinologist was very specific NOT to get generic) and that straightened things out right away.
GL - I hope it works out for you.
Oh - and about taking synthroid and NOT the generic levothyroxine...
I take generic, and it is my understanding that it doesn't matter as long as you choose one and stick with it. (You'll have your levels checked periodically, so you would know if the generic wasn't doing its job.)
Good luck!!!
