i watch a mornig talk show everyday when I am up feeding ds, and they have someone from the show TMZ give a 5 min blurb on celeb stuff...the guys name is Dax. I hear it EVERY morning and its starting to grow on me! what do you think???

    There used to be a daytime soap opera star named Dax Shepherd; I have no idea what show he was on or who he played, I just remember hearing it or reading it somewhere and it has stuck with me ever since. I'm sure it was a stage name. I have to say though, that I really think it sounds like a "celebrity" name, not something real people are named.

    Isn't Dax Shepard the guy who was in Without a Paddle and Zathura?

     I have always liked the name Dax because of that guy.. I just am not sure if I would ever name my son that.

    Yes. He's on Parenthood now (love that show). I don't think he was ever on a soap opera like someone mentioned, but he was on Punk'd with Ashton Kutcher and then a bunch of movies in between. Either way, I like the name. 

    ETA: I just looked him up and that is his real name.

    Haha, I looked at IMDB, you're right. I've never seen those movies, but according to his IMDB bio, he wasn't in any soap operas, don't know why I thought that's where I heard it: ) Still think it sounds like a stage name, though.

    My next door neighbor's name is Dax. He is very Abercrombie looking. I like it, it's different without being weird.

    My friend's son is named Daxton and he goes by Dax.  He's an adorable little boy with a great sense of humor!  I would like it even without that connection though.

    My first association is of Dax Shepherd and I think of him as a goofball. Therefore, I wouldn't name my DS Dax. Sad, but true.
